I was glad to join @hglfoundation at their Lpez Scholar Leadership Summit for first-generation college students. We had a great discussion on the past and future of Mexican-American civil rights in Texas and how these students can make their own mark.

On Memorial Day, Im thinking of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Today and every day, Im grateful for their bravery, service, and courage. I was honored to join @eisdofsa for their annual Memorial Day ceremony today.
